VAT11


1.       How do I apply for VAT11?

 Visit LRA website at https://eservices.lra.org.ls/etcc/public/get_vat_links

Click on VAT11

Click Apply and select “Change of Ownership” from the menu

Note:

(A) Apply for Change of Ownership (System generated) – Refers to automated VAT 11’s that LRA introduced in April 2018 when it was phasing out the manual one’s.

(B) Apply for Change of Ownership (Manual VAT 11) – refers to manual VAT 11 produced prior to April 2018

2.      How do I change VAT11 details (e.g. Changing Names, Changing District)? – if modification is for system generated VAT11, modify the previous VAT11 certificate. If modification is for manual VAT11, apply for Manual VAT with new details.

 

3.      What do I provide when I have lost the first VAT11? If the lost VAT11 was system generated, log in and retrieve the previously generated VAT11. If old/manual contact LRA provide chassis number of the vehicle; then apply for manual VAT11 and attach reference provided by LRA to the application.

4.      Who qualifies for VAT11? Anybody who has paid VAT for the registrable goods.

5.      Can a buyer apply for VAT11 of a second-hand car? Yes

6.      What do I provide for a car fixed from scrap yard? Provide necessary documents for change of ownership

7.       What do I provide for an engine bought from a scrapyard/a person? If the engine details update is for system generated VAT11, modify the previous VAT11 – if the update of engine details is on manual VAT11, apply for manual VAT11 with new engine details.

 

8.      I bought a car in S.A, how do I apply for a VAT 11? Declare the car at the border, the VAT11 will be issued and availed online at LRA website under e-services. You will receive a VAT11 notification via SMS

9.      My Exit Note is ready, but the system didn’t issue VAT 11, how do I get it? Access VAT11 on the LRA website under e-services and retrieve the VAT at https://eservices.lra.org.ls/etcc/public/vat_certificates If the VAT11 is not available report the issue at

10.   I built a trailer, what do I need to get a VAT 11 for it? Bring the trailer to LRA for valuation, pay VAT due and apply for manual VAT11. (attachments required are: ID, document from InterPol (InterPol Clearance), VAT payment receipt)

11.    I don’t know how to use the Internet; Can I still get a VAT 11 at the Service Centre? No, the VAT11 is available online only

12.   My VAT 11 application was rejected; how long will I have to wait after I correct it? The correction will be affected within 1 hour

13.   My VAT 11 was issued but some information is incorrect, how do I correct it?

ü  Click Apply and select “Modify my VAT11” from the menu

ü  Click on “Apply for VAT11 Modification”

14.   I forgot the cell number used for VAT 11 application; how can I access it? Contact LRA at 80022009

15.   Whose TIN do I write on the VAT 11 application form? Your own TIN if you do not have TIN, leave the field blank

16.   I used the Internet Shop’s cell number for my VAT 11 application, how can I change it to my own? Contact LRA at 800

 


 

Requirements

17.   Below are attachment requirements for different change of ownership application scenarios:

ü  Vehicle bought from a person who is now deceased (copy of Death Certificate, the deceased’s family letter, beneficiary ID, VAT11, registration certificate and buyer’s ID)

ü  From a Courthouse (contact LRA and provide court’s document)

ü  From multiple buyers (who didn’t transfer ownership) – contact LRA at 800 for guidance on required documents

ü  From a company – change of ownership (letter of transfer of ownership by the company, ID of company director, certificate of incorporation, registration certificate, VAT11)

ü  From an Individual - letter of transfer of ownership by the seller (deed of sale), buyer’s ID, seller’s ID, registration certificate, VAT11)

ü  From a Government Ministry – contact LRA at 800 as the requirements vary.
